POB 177 - Battle Creek, MI 49016-0177 - (269) 282-9381
"Bible College and Seminary level courses in Apologetics, Biblical Studies, Nouthetic Counseling,
Ministry, Prophecy, Religious Ed, Scofield Bible, and Theology thru distance education since 1981"

--ANNOUNCING--

Louisiana Baptist University has recently come on board as one of our Co-op Colleges offering a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree to qualifying students of the PMI Center.  Download details now.

Advanced Standing and Accreditation

ADVANCED STANDING:
Matriculation at a higher degree level is possible through a Degree and Credit Evaluation form analysis-
DACE FORM. Those having transferable credits by transcript and/or life experience will not only receive advanced standing to enroll at a higher level, they may qualify for a degree. Example: if you enroll in the 60 hour, 2 year Jack Van Impe Prophecy program with- let's say- 60 hours credit from a combination of your studies and life experience, you would be eligible for a Counselor and an Associate degree (now), along with a Bachelor of Theology upon completion of your sixty hour program.

Students desiring Advanced Standing will need to submit a Degree and Credit Evaluation (DACE) which allows us to recognize and extend credit for your Bible school studies as well as your life ministry experience. Many have earned enough credits for a degree from our co-op college- CalvaryChristianCollegeandSeminary.com of South Bend, Indiana!

ACCREDITATION:
Secular accreditation has become nothing more than educational idolatry (Ex. 20:3). Today this intimidation is so polarizing, even Christians are afraid to attend a fundamentally sound Bible school the government hasn’t endorsed. Please consider this question my friend: Is “Caesar’s” sanction the criteria necessary for God to tell us well done thou good and faithful servant Matt. 25:21), or is there something else?

Accreditation was an issue in Christ’s day, and His ministry was never fully legitimized because He refused to submit Himself to those in charge of granting it: When (Christ) was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority  (Matthew 21:23)? What these self proclaimed authorities were saying is this: “Look here Jesus. Since you didn’t receive your training from a school we endorse, your education and your credentials are worthless.”

Please hear me friend. Our Accreditation can be seen in the lives the 26,000 students we've enrolled and or graduated since 1981.

Dear student and friend in Christ:

Thank you for your obedience to God's precious inerrant Word: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

Dr. Mike Johnston began the PMI Center for Biblical Studies in 1981 in an effort to offer tuition free [1] distance seminary level education to Christ-honoring prisoners all across America. To date, some 26,000 have taken advantage of the vast opportunities offered them through our training center. Today, however, due to a flood of requests, both prisoners and non prisoners are cordially invited to request an Application for Enrollment by placing an [X] in any one of the following prayerfully structured Bible study or ministry preparation degree tracks. [NOTE OF CLARIFICATION: If you are a prisoner, you will need sponsors for some of these tracks listed below. If you are not a prisoner, you will sponsor yourself]

NOTICE: Offerings for courses differ slightly between Prisoners and Non-Prisoners. Please download the following before enrolling: Introductory Packs s/Applications: Prisoners - Non-Prisoners

PMI CONTINUING BIBLE EDUCATION
downloadable.pdf

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

Dr. Mike Johnston began the PMI Center for Biblical Studies in 1981 in an effort to offer top quality tuition free [1] distance seminary level education to born-again, Bible believing, Christ-honoring prisoners all across America. To date, over 20,000 have taken advantage of the vast opportunities offered through our intense, doctrinally sound distance Bible and Ministry training center. Prisoners and non-prisoners are both cordially invited to begin their Bible study and ministry preparation by placing an [X] in any one of the following areas of interest, and by mailing in the information on page 4.

CAVEAT: All programs have been carefully and prayerfully structured and require completion of our NON NEGOTIABLE 8 Lesson Foundations of Faith Study Project prior to seminary level enrollment. All study tracks require that you read through the Bible at least one time per academic year. Six year Biblical Studies students read it through 6 times; two year ministry students read it through twice, and so on. Each study track also includes a wide range of collateral reading assignments on relevant exciting topics ranging from the manuscripts, fundamentalism, end times, hermeneutics, apologetics, contemporary issues, evangelism, theology, cults, and heresies. Optional degrees [2] are available upon completion of all programs.

Matriculation with Advanced Standing

Advanced Standing allows a student to matriculate at a higher degree level. Example: if you enroll in the 60 hour, 2 year Jack Van Impe Prophecy program with- let's say- 60 hours credit from any combination of your studies and life experience, you would be eligible for a Counselor and an Associate degree (now), along with a Graduate of Theology (3rd year, 90 hours) and Bachelor of Theology upon completion of your sixty hours of study (120 credit hours total). You may request a DACE after you complete all 8 Lessons of your Foundations Study Project.

Bible College and Seminary Level Program Tracks

Diplomas and Degrees in BIBLICAL STUDIES (as mentioned, optional degrees will be in Biblical Studies)

[  ] BIBLICAL STUDIES MAJOR: 30 to 180 Hours – (6 Years)

Prepares pastors and Bible teachers with a great working knowledge of Scriptures. You'll dig deeper into God's Word than you perhaps ever have before as you explore every one of the sixty six inspired Books. Dr. Mike suggests doing this (or any of our programs) with an Old Scofield Study Bible [3] if possible. (Non Prisoners- $200 per year up front; or $25 per month enrolled)

Diplomas and Degrees in MINISTRY (optional degrees will be in Ministry)

[  ] MINISTRY ORDINATION MAJOR: 60 to 90 Hours – (2-3 Years)

Step by step soul winning training along with other church ministry preparation for pastors including doctrinal studies, heresy awareness, sermon writing, preaching, and a variety of ministry duties most have to stumble through as they go; like how to perform weddings, funerals, hold communion, dedicate children, baptize converts, deal with the public, organize and set up a non-profit, and much more. Master of Ministry (60 hrs) or Master of Divinity (90 hrs) option available upon completion. This track is open to men only. (Non Prisoners- $200 per year up front; or $25 per month enrolled)

[  ] NOUTHETIC COUNSELING MAJOR: 60 Hours – (2 Years) (HB)

Nouthetic counseling is not psychology or psychoanalysis. Nouthetic counseling is simply directed discussion led by the Nouthetic counselor who uses the Word of God and relies on the Holy Spirit to change the life of the counselee. According to Dr. Jay Adams in the Christian Counselor's Commentary: "Counseling . . . is the process of bringing Christians face to face with the Savior in His Word in order to effect the changes that He wants. And when a counselee comes to Jesus for change, that change can be as certain as His promises in the Bible. Only Biblical counselors can offer such certainty of change." Students will develop a confident competency in Nouthetic counseling by studying the methodology and theology of Dr. Jay Adams followed by a wide variety of written case studies they will provide the Nouthetic counseling for. [Requires a $300 sponsor for prisoners/$350 for non prisoners. [4] Stamps are welcome]

Diplomas and Degrees in RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (optional degrees will be in Religious Education)

[  ] RELIGIOUS EDUCATION MAJOR: 60 Hours – (2 Years) (HB)

Imagine yourself contemplating, researching, and expounding upon a wide spectrum of issues facing today's church including ethics, theology, and apologetics. The Religious Education degree track has been carefully designed to place you in the center of these debates, equipped with truths learned from some of most notably brilliant Christian educators,  apologists, and scholars in the world, like: Kenneth Gangel, Carl FH Henry, Norman Geisler, John Stott, Ravi Zacharias, Josh McDowell, and many more. Second year Religious Education includes a thorough study of Bible survey, creationism, and projects. It is well-suited for individuals seeking a broad, foundational degree in ministry capacities such as associate pastor, discipleship pastor, small group pastor, apologetics writing and counseling, as well as other positions that require a general knowledge of church educational programs, discipleship oriented ministries, blogging, debating, etc. Optional PhD available for those enrolling in 60 hour R.E. track with 150 hours. [Requires a $300 sponsor for prisoners/$350 for non prisoners. Stamps are welcome]

Diplomas and Degrees in THEOLOGY (optional degrees will be in Theology)

[  ] APOLOGETICS MAJOR: 60 Hours – (2 Years)

Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers (Titus 1:9). The forces of evil are waging war against two pillars of Biblical Christianity: the Scriptures, and Creationism. The PMI Apologetics track prepares students to contend for the faith (Jude 1:3) in the face of these relentless assaults. The focus in the first year is on Biblical Apologetics including: its purpose, the authority of the Bible, its origin, documentation, the deity of Christ, Biblical criticism, alleged contradictions, skepticism, Gnosticism, God's work throughout history; Christian uniqueness, and much more. Second year students will explore Creation Apologetics including: the history of evolution, big bang and stellar evolution, age of the earth, problem of times, inaccurate dating methods, DNA and protein, natural selection, mutations, ancient man, effects of the flood, similarities and divergence, animal and plant societies, fossils and strata, sub species, index fossils, and much more. [Requires a $300 sponsor for prisoners/$350 for non prisoners. Stamps are welcome]

[  ] JACK VAN IMPE PROPHECY MAJOR: 60 Hours – (2 Years)

The Bible is at least twenty-five percent prophecy, and your faith in Christ will grow strong as you study it and teach it to family and friends. Learn from premier prophecy experts like Dr. Jack Van Impe as he explains the Book of Revelation to you verse by verse, and provides insight and answers to many of the end times questions you'll be asked. In this program, you'll build a foundation upon sound Christian doctrine, you'll survey the entire Bible; you'll study and identify Last Days False Prophets, learn about the Antichrist, explore the Book of Daniel, discover the link between judgments on America and our forcing Israel to divide covenant land, rightly divide the difference between the mystery Rapture and the prophesied Revelation in light of Dispensational truth, and discover the 9 signs telling us we are living in the end times. (Non Prisoners- $200 per year up front; or $25 per month enrolled)

[  ] OLD SCOFIELD THEOLOGY MAJOR: 60 Hours – (2 Years)

Dr. Mike has preached the Scofield notes over 30 years and believes this is the finest study Bible on the planet. Many times he has stated this is- in itself- a sound seminary education and often recommends this as the first course hungry students should enroll in for at least two reasons: the Old Scofield Bible you'll receive with the course- which is a lifetime Bible-, and the knowledge you'll acquire in how to use it for Christ in your ministry. You will dig through Scripture from 5 disciplines in 4 separate modules that will include: Scofield Studies, Biographical Studies, Biblical Studies, Theme Studies, and Theological Studies. This course comes with a beautiful bonded leather KJV Old Scofield Study Bible. [Requires a $124 sponsor for prisoners, $225 up front for non prisoners, or $62.50 x 4 incremental payments].

PhD Degrees (requires a Master’s Degree or 150 Hours Advanced Standing)

[  ] PhD in CHRISTIAN EDUCATION: 60 Hours – (2 Years) (HB)

For advanced, highly motivated students with a master's degree from an approved college/seminary (like Calvary Christian), or 150 hours Advanced Standing by DACE analysis. This track is not to prepare school teachers, but for those involved in church based educational ministries who desire knowledge of America’s Christian education foundation and how it relates and applies to today’s church. The first year focuses on education that is Bible based, with collateral studies that reinforce America’s rich Christian heritage. Students will learn to define and develop a Christ centered Biblical Christian Education (CE) program that will effectively reach and teach at every age level. He or she will study proper implementation and function of the CE Board; how to manage classrooms; how to select and develop good leaders; and even about educating through public, Christian, and homeschool settings. The second year, students will continue to broaden his or her knowledge by contemplating, researching, and expounding upon a wide spectrum of issues facing today's church including ethics, theology, and apologetics. This entire degree track has been carefully designed to place you in the center of these debates, equipped with truths learned from some of most notably brilliant Christian educators,  apologists, and scholars in the world, like: Kenneth Gangel, Carl FH Henry, Norman Geisler, John Stott, Ravi Zacharias, Josh McDowell, and many more. Second year Christian Education track includes a thorough study of Bible survey, creationism, and projects. [Requires a $300 sponsor for prisoners/$350 for non prisoners.
